

Zappa, Frank: Bongo Fury - 50th Anniversary Edition (Vinyl LP)
Bongo Fury turns 50! The classic collaboration between Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart during May 1975 resulted in a flurry of new compositions, a tour, and eventually an album. Bongo Fury is made up of mostly live recordings from the Armadillo Headquarters in Austin, TX, along with a few studio recordings from The Record Plant in Los Angeles. The album is a memorable addition to the Zappa catalogue and the last to feature the band name “Mothers” before it was retired in 1976.
This new 50th Anniversary Edition features all analogue mastering of the classic album by Bernie Grundman on 180g black vinyl from the original master tapes.
